2. Faux Manchu: The Africans get into these unsafe, overcrowded boats willingly. They themselves say they will die trying to get to Europe. They also know that NGO ships are waiting to rescue them and they take advantage of the fact. Maybe some of these rubber dinghies are deliberately sabotaged when rescue ships are sighted. The NGOs have good intentions but they are enablers and encouraging Africans to take risks.
